Pinnacle Skills video “Get skilled & earn well” released

Popular Nagaland comedy group Dreamz Unlimited released a video on Youtube on Pinnacle Skills titled ” Get skilled and Earn well”. The video sends the message that job seekers have to be trained and skilled so that they can get a good job. The video also explains how a hard working son or daughter can become a source of support for the family.

Pinnacle Skills offers joint certification in Enterprise Management with NECU

Dimapur based Pinnacle Skills and North East Christian University (NECU) signed an MoU to offer a joint certification course in Enterprise Management.

The Enterprise Management course which will be delivered online, will enable learners to manage an organization, manage business and projects proactively by focusing on long-term strategy. It will also enable the learner to understand market insights, design and develop the products and services, build successful customer relationships, get familiar with financial accounting techniques and financial statements.

The 2 months course is suitable for persons working in managerial positions from non-management background who wish to understand the concepts of management and get certified. Entrepreneurs and Freshers can also join the course. Learners will get the opportunity to learn and interact with experienced management professors of NECU.

Mr Huzo Meru, Director Operations of NECU and Mr Daniel Longkumer, Asstt. Manager Operations of Pinnacle Skills signed the MoU on behalf of their organizations.

The course will be delivered online through Pinnacle Skills’ eLearning platform www.pinnaclevarsity.com                                                                          

Job placements of trainees picks up

Job placements of trainees of Pinnacle Skills has picked up as rail and air connectivity has improved. As students need to travel to various parts of the country, connectivity was a major issue since the covid-19 pandemic started as railway services came to a halt.

Pinnacle Skills had no option but to rely on air travel even though it was an expensive option. If air fares were subsidized for Northeast students trained under Govt skilling schemes, it would have been of great help for students.

We are hopeful that central and state governments will look into this matter. After all, we need to get our youth employed!

One month JJM residential training on pipe fitter under PHED concluded at Sovima Training centre, Dimapur on April 6. Altogether 35 trainees from 10 villages attended the training conducted by Pinnacle Skills, stated a press release received here. 

SDO PHED Mughalu V Sumi gracing the occasion and acknowledged Pinnacle Skills for conducting the training. The SDO exhorted the trainees stating that skill development training is an opportunity to enhance skills and become self-reliant while contributing to the economy at large. 

He encouraged the trainees to be sincere and take up this kind of activity which will provide sustainable income. Stating “Now that you are skilled and have the thorough knowledge about the training you have taken,” he encouraged the students to practice it.

Head Business Development & Placements of Pinnacle Skills, Debojyoti Sarkar delivered the keynote message. Later, certificates were handed over to the participants by SDO PHED Mughalu V Sumi.  

Five students trained by Pinnacle Skills in various government schools topped in their vocational subjects during the HSLC and HSSLC exams 2023.

Advisor of Labour, Employment & Skill Development and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, on Monday, 29th May 2023, said there was a time when large population was considered a burden to the state as there were more mouths to feed but contrary to the assumption, a large population was actually an asset, even more if it was more of young population.

Moatoshi was speaking as chief guest at the 10th Founding Anniversary programme of Pinnacle Skills, at AIDA Hall, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Dimapur. He pointed out that nearly 40% of Indian population was aged between 13 to 35 years, which was defined as youth under National Youth Policy and with population increasing the government of India laid down many policies to be “Skill Ready” population. The advisor also acknowledged the Pinnacle Skills on its 10th Anniversary and thanked CEO, Pinnacle Skills, Dr. Yan Murry and his associates for sincere stewardship in leading and guiding the Pinnacle Skill and achieving the milestone. He said Nagaland was facing a grim future and difficult times ahead since many youths, both educated and uneducated, were unemployed. Longkumer therefore said it should be the responsibility and concern for everyone and stressed on finding ways and means to solve this problem. He pointed that Nagaland was 4th amongst 36 state UTs in India with highest unemployment rate according to annual Periodic Labour Force Survey for 2021-2022, a report released by Government of India on February 24, 2023.

He expressed happiness to note that Pinnacle Skill have stepped in at the right time. He also assured to work together in wherever possible and expressed hope on tackling many situations by collaboration and co-operation with commitment.

Delivering welcome address, CEO, Pinnacle Skills, Dr Yan Murry, informed that the institution had provided employment to over 8000 youths since its inception. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Sr Manager, Operations, Pinnacle Skills, Nagatoli Achumi and invocation offered by pastor, Covenant Baptist Church Dimapur, Yabang Longkumer.
Short speeches were also delivered by chairman, Pinnacle Skills, Dr John Murry, head, Business Development & Placement Skills, Debojyoti Sarkar, and vote of thanks by head operations, Pinnacle Skills, Ajung Thonger.

Pinnacle Digital Centre was inaugurated at Neilhouzhu Kire complex, Kohima by guest of honour, Director of higher education, Dr. A. Nshoga on Thursday.

Dr. Nshoga highlighted the importance of knowledge and skills of digital media and computer which has become a leading technology worldwide. Nshoga emphasized the need to address the problem of unemployment by focusing on acquiring the necessary skills to fill the multiple job opportunities available. He specifically mentioned the lack of computer literacy as a hindrance in occupying these positions.

He also explained how digital technology provides a faster and more cost-effective way of gaining knowledge. This accessibility helps not only the general population but also individuals who are educated but unemployed.
Pinnacle skills chief executive Dr.Yan murry also briefed about the centre where he mentioned that Pinnacle Digital Plus is a division of Pinnacle Skills, a National Skills Development Corporation partner, with focus on offering new age tech skills. It will focus on Industry Collaboration so that students are job ready after training.

He stated that, it is collaborating with companies like IBM for certification and training on Digital Skills like Data Analyst, Artificial Intelligence, Python etc. The main objective of this collaboration is to make the youths skilled in the emerging technologies so that they can be certified and find employment in the fast growing lech sector.

Murry stated that Data Analytics has huge scope and is set to touch 12 billion USD by 2026 and create thousands of jobs,it estimates that Artificial Intelligence and Automation are expected to create millions of jobs over the next decade.

It has been informed that the centre will also open a Japanese Centre of Excellence imparting training on Japanese Language and Culture. The students passing out from this centre will have the opportunity to work in Japan.

Entrepreneur Yanpfuo Kikon who also attended the inaugural program in his short speech emphasized the importance of digital education, stating that it is crucial for young people to be equipped with digital skills. Digital media has become a powerful tool in today’s generation, and it has a significant impact on our youths.

Furthermore, Kikon emphasized that AI (Artificial Intelligence) should not be seen as a threat but rather as a new tool that can enhance our work and make it more self-reliant and efficient. He believes that these skills can empower the youth and create new opportunities for them.

According to Kikon, the focus should no longer solely be on securing government jobs. Instead, it is time to explore new avenues and embrace the possibilities that digital media and technology have to offer.
